Bark Park Gazebo is Complete!

Thank you to all of our volunteers who came out in June and July to help install the new gazebo at the Whitmore Lake Bark Park (Lesley Lauwers, Jennifer Delisle, Kelley Forbes, Elmer Bisler, Steve Dail, Kurt Stenzel, Tim Saville)!  Whether it was digging out the pad extension area, pouring cement or constructing the jigsaw puzzle of a gazebo, we couldn't have done it without you!  Special Thanks to High Grade Materials Company for their donation of the concrete!

Located at the back end of the Jennings Road Athletic Complex (168 Jennings Rd.) near the running track, the Whitmore Lake Bark Park is a safe place for residents of Northfield Township and the surrounding areas to gather and exercise their dogs off leash within a fenced area, while enjoying the natural beauty of the surrounding athletic complex.  The Bark Park is open 7 days a week from dawn until dusk.  The park is open during the winter, but please note there will be no winter maintenance performed.  PLEASE REMEMBER, pets are only allowed within the fenced area of the Bark Park and are NOT allowed on the playground area or athletic fields (baseball diamonds, football field, running track, etc). And PLEASE clean up after your pets!
